For the passed 14 years of the civil war in Liberia, many children were
made orphans and others turned wayward. These children have all suffered
many forms of rejection. Because of the untold hardship the civil war
caused, many women abandoned their own children in the street, and at
other people’s homes and ran away to lessen the burden of having
to support the children. So then these future leaders have no other alternative
but to beg on street corners and perform hard labor to survive. Some even
eat from refuse disposal sites. Some ritualistic killers take advantage
of the vulnerability of these kids and sell or kill them in order to enhance
their hold unto political power.
In view of the above, the Lord gave
a dynamic children ministry known as Gideon Children Ministry to our church
so as to help minimize these unfavorable conditions of the children. The
heart of our Lord Jesus Christ is mainly concerned with the children.
Rev. Bah has similar passion for the children. Therefore, the aims of
G. C. M among others are to:
1. Educate the children;
2. Build orphanages for rejected children;
3. Create adoption opportunity for those interested to help these kids
for their destiny;
4. Open children Bible School to teach them the principles of the Word
of God, in order to raise ministers in their midst who will in turn impart
the lives of peers;
5. Build children play ground where they will fellowship together;
6. Establish international contact links with donors world-wide to help
a kid or group of them.
DOMINION BIBLE INSTITUTE
(D B I)
The Dominion Bible Institute (DBI) is a mission
and discipleship school with the responsibility of raising, training and
equipping leaders, evangelists, pastors, etc. for this end-time harvest.
The Dominion Bible Institute (DBI) has trained lots of refugees at the
Buduburam refugee camp. Most of these people have accepted the Lord Jesus
Christ in the lives. And, today many are ministers of the Gospel.
Presently, DBI has a little over one
hundred students. There are two sessions: Level 100, which is for the
junior class also known as Valiant Fighters, and Level 101 which is for
the senior class.
Level 101 is commonly called the Lions of Judah.
